All vehicles on the Avenue’s fleet are comprehensively insured. However our clients are limited to a maximum damage liability (excess) depending on the model of the vehicle. Every Traffic and Avenue’s rules and regulations are strictly to be adhered to.
The insurance does not cover the below;

  1. Any Loss of items from the vehicle, including personal items. Note: Any car accessory lost at the clients’ hands will be charged to them.
  2. Any breakdown or damage to the Vehicle otherwise than collision.
  3. Injuries or loss to the client or the driver or passengers.
  4. Burst/damaged tyres, stolen, lost spare wheel, damaged/broken windscreen or glasses, damaged rims, tools (Including Jack & Handle), tape recorder & radio.
  • Most major credit and debit Cards accepted
  • Bank Transfers EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer)
  • Cash Payments

The car will be released with a full tank of fuel and should be returned full.

The client is responsible for repair of all punctures . If the vehicle requires replacing of burst/damaged tires or stolen/lost spare wheels, Avenue Car Hire will charges the client.

All our vehicles are fitted with a tracking device.

Avenue does not allow any of its vehicles used in parks. This is for the purpose of maintaining quality of the vehicles we provide.

Avenue works with a reliable tracking and security company and are a registered member of AA Kenya. Through their partnership and an internal customer service system, we have enhanced breakdown rescue services. We also provide a replacement vehicle when need arises at no cost. Every crucial contact required, is provided to every vehicle and can be reached at any time of the day.

The client is responsible for all parking fees and/or traffic violations charges incurred during the rental period. If a parking fee and/or traffic violation is received and charged to the Avenue office, the client will be responsible for the amount charged.

Yes : There should be written authorization from Avenue Car Hire allowing the client use the vehicle out of Kenya. However, all the custom duties and any other charges that come with crossing the borders and road usage will be liable to the client.

It is a written agreement that binds you and Avenue Car Hire upon the hire confirmation, with clear stipulated do’s and don’t’s.

  • A valid driver’s license held for at least 2 years
  • A valid passport or ID
  • A valid credit card, issued under your name, with sufficient funds for a full payment and deposit

The driver(s) should be over 23 years of age and less than 65 years of age and should have a driving licence over 2 years.

  • Make sure the occupants of the vehicle are safe from Injury i.e. Driver and the passengers
  • Immediately Inform the Avenue office of the incident
  • Take photos of the vehicle(s) involved and share with Avenue
  • Note down details of the involved driver and any other party, involved vehicle’s insurance and registration
  • Wait for the Police to assess the situation and collect all the required details of the involved parties. Once the Police assess the situation you will be required to visit the nearest Police station and obtain a Police abstract
  • If the police do not arrive, the client should take details of all parties involved, including vehicle registration and contact details and drive to the nearest police station and obtain an abstract
  • Please note that your security and safety is priority: In case there is violence involved, please seek shelter at the nearest police station
  • Never should you accept liability
  • If the vehicle is not drivable, please contact the Avenue office or AA Kenya as we are registered members for rescue purposes
  • Change your lanes according to your speed – RESPECT THE RIGHT OF WAY OF EVERYONE
  • Be vigilant of aggressive or reckless tailgaters, and expect the unexpected
  • Never drive under the influence of alcohol or any other substance
  • Avoid distractions and give a 100% attention to driving
  • Understand and always keep a safe breaking distance
  • Adjust your steering and seat to your suitable position
  • Avoid hard breaking, acceleration and cornering
  • Use Headlights and Indicators when needed
  • Do not drive if you are stressed or unwell
  • Follow all road signs and traffic rules
  • Avoid overtaking by the wrong side
  • Always Wear Your Seat Belt
No : Avenue Car Hire has an in house garage where all repairs are taken care of, alternatively we have specific garages at various locations where our vehicles are taken for repairs on authorization. Unless formally authorized by Avenue Car Hire, the client shall under no circumstances modify, fix extra accessories or repair the vehicle.

The client should ensure to communicate to the Avenue Car Hire office on any expected delay on the return of the vehicle so as to agree on the way forward.
